INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR ILLUSTRATION AND ANIMATION
Nikšić 2030 European Capital of Culture and (RE)ANIMACIJA Festival of European Animated Film and Illustration announce a thematic competition for illustration and animation, in all techniques, on the theme HUMAN.
Works must be produced without the use of artificial intelligence.
Authors may submit up to two illustrations prepared for print in A3 format, as well as up to two short animations with a maximum duration of 30 seconds. Works should be submitted via email to konkursikultura21@gmail.com.
Materials must be sent as email attachments or via a platform that provides permanent access and allows file downloads (such as Google Drive). Links with limited availability or without download options will not be considered.
The application email must include: title of the work, technique, year of production, author’s name, country of origin, and one sentence with the most important biographical information about the author.
The email subject line should read:
HUMAN_FirstName_LastName.
The deadline for submission is March 1, and the names of the selected authors will be announced by March 9.
The winners of the competition will be announced at the exhibition opening on March 21.

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE SECOND NIKŠIĆ SALON OF ILLUSTRATION AND ANIMATION
Applications are now open for participation in the Second Nikšić Salon of Illustration and Animation, which will open on March 20 at the Nikšić Theatre, as part of the (RE)ANIMACIJA Festival of European Animated Film and Illustration.
The right to participate in the Salon is open to all illustrators and animators from Montenegro. As part of the Salon, three awards will be granted for the best illustration or animation: first prize in the amount of €1,000, second prize of €500, and third prize of €300.

The goal of the Salon is to present and promote the local illustration and animation scene, as well as to encourage the development, visibility, and popularization of these artistic forms in Montenegro.
The First Nikšić Salon of Illustration and Animation was held last year as part of the (RE)ANIMACIJA Festival, when 37 authors were selected to exhibit their work.
The event is organized in cooperation with NGO Reanimacija, Protos Film, the Nikšić 2030 – European Capital of Culture Office, and the Nikšić Theatre, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media, the Film Centre of Montenegro, the Municipality of Nikšić, IPC Tehnopolis, and the Scout Association of Montenegro.
